A lesser known area of outstanding beauty is the coast in Cumbria. You can reach this in half an hour or so, and enjoy the seaside village of St Bees, with excellent pubs, play area, and long stretch of beach and spectacular views from the head.

Further up the coast at Maryport, you will find the fantastic Roman fort at Senhouse Museum and further on towards Allonby and Silloth, the beaches are stunning!

You can also access the west coast cycle path which is from Camerton or Little Clifton close by the site.
